MEA & MOFA Attestation
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is responsible for overseeing the relationship between citizens and non-citizens of the UAE and across the world. The Ministry is obligated to regulate specific duties including farming, foreign policy and the facilitation of foreign relations. By providing regulated practices and encouraging clear communication, the services can prove advantageous for individual clients, companies and diplomats.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, otherwise referred to as MOFA, is responsible for overseeing the attestation of certificates that are registered beyond the borders of the UAE. For the business interested in establishing an international branch in the UAE, the process must be governed by MOFA and include an attested document in both the country of origin and in the UAE. These documents will consist of board approved documentation, Articles of Association and relevant information for registration purposes.
MOFA will also be required to attest the personal documents of the individual looking to initiate the business, including birth and marriage certificates. This allows for the seamless registration of a residential visa or to aid in recognizing government employment.
At ZWIC International, we can provide peace of mind that your documents are attested, and the facilitation of a foreign branch be established. Invoices that are issued by your business outside of the UAE can further receive attestation by MOFA and relevant authorities to ensure all stamps applied to these invoices are valid inside of the UAE or outside of its borders.
Countries lacking an embassy to complete the attestation process can visit their embassy within the UAE or can receive a notary service from the relevant Ministry of Foreign Affairs in their country of origin.
